Our Clubs

Choir Club

The St. Micheal Choir Club has a joyful and inspiring season as students from grades 3–8 lift their voices in praise. Meeting twice a week in the music room, the choir practiced hymns, liturgical responses, and special pieces for school Masses and parish events. Under the direction of Mr. Callahan, students learn vocal technique, harmony, and the importance of singing with both skill and heart. Highlights of the year include leading music at the All Saints Day Mass, performing at the Christmas Concert, and offering a moving reflection song during the 8th‑grade retreat. The choir continues to be a beloved part of school life, helping students grow in confidence, teamwork, and faith.

Robotics Club

The Robotics Club at St. Micheal’s has an exciting year of innovation and hands‑on learning. Students in grades 5–8 worked in teams to design, build, and program robots using the school’s STEM lab equipment. Guided by Mr. Lee, the club explored coding, engineering challenges, and problem‑solving strategies while preparing for friendly in‑school competitions. Members learned how to collaborate, test ideas, and persevere through trial and error. The season’s highlight was the annual “Guardian Tech Showcase,” where students demonstrate their robots to families and younger grades. Robotics Club continues to spark curiosity and inspire future engineers and inventors.

Art Club

Art Club welcomes creative students from grades 3–8 who were eager to explore new mediums and express themselves. Led by Mrs. Morales, the club experimentes with painting, clay, collage, and mixed‑media projects inspired by both classical and contemporary Catholic art. Art Club provides a peaceful, joyful space for students to develop their talents and discover the beauty of creativity as a gift from God

Art Buddies

Art Buddies brings together older and younger students for creative collaboration. Once a month, 7th‑ and 8th‑grade volunteers visit the K–2 classrooms to help younger students with seasonal crafts, saint projects, and holiday decorations. These sessions foster mentorship, friendship, and joy across grade levels. Teachers and parents alike love seeing older students model patience and kindness while younger students beam with pride at their finished artwork. Art Buddies remains one of the most heartwarming traditions at St. Gabriel’s. school’s Advent hallway display, designed posters for Catholic Schools Week, and contributed to a collaborative mural celebrating the school’s mission. Art Club provides a peaceful, joyful space for students to develop their talents and discover the beauty of creativity as a gift from God.

Chess Club

The Chess Club at St. Gabriel’s offers students a chance to sharpen their minds and enjoy friendly competition. Meeting weekly in the library, students from grades 2–8 learn strategy, sportsmanship, and critical thinking under the guidance of Mrs. Finch. Beginners practice basic moves and tactics, while advanced players study openings and endgame techniques. The club hosts its annual “Guardian Chess Invitational,” where students compete in a bracket‑style tournament cheered on by classmates. Chess Club continues to be a favorite for students who enjoy challenge, focus, and fun.

Student Council

Student Council plays a vital role in shaping school life at St. Gabriel the Archangel. Representing grades 4–8, members meet regularly with Mr. Rivera to plan service projects, organize spirit days, and promote school unity. This year, the council led a successful food drive for the parish pantry, coordinated a “Kindness Week” initiative, and helped run assemblies during Catholic Schools Week. Student Council members learn leadership, responsibility, and the importance of serving others — living out the school’s mission through action.
