Welcome to St. Micheals’s Catholic School, where the spirit of community and camaraderie comes alive through a vibrant array of extracurricular activities. At St. Micheal’s, we believe that education extends beyond the classroom walls and that involvement in extracurricular activities is essential for the holistic development of our students.

From sports teams and academic clubs to performing arts groups and community service organizations, our diverse range of extracurricular activities provides students with opportunities to explore their interests, develop their talents, and build lifelong friendships.

Athletically inclined students can join one of our competitive sports teams, where they can hone their skills, compete against other schools, and learn important lessons about teamwork, sportsmanship, and perseverance. Whether they’re dribbling down the basketball court, scoring goals on the soccer field, or spiking the volleyball over the net, our student-athletes are empowered to reach their full potential and achieve success on and off the field.

For students with a passion for the arts, our performing arts program offers opportunities to shine on stage and behind the scenes. From musical theater productions and choir performances to band concerts and art exhibitions, students can unleash their creativity, express themselves artistically, and showcase their talents to the wider community.

But extracurricular activities at St. Micheal’s are about more than just competition and performance; they’re about fostering a sense of belonging, building character, and creating memories that last a lifetime. Whether students are volunteering at a local soup kitchen, participating in a fundraising event for charity, or attending a leadership conference, they are actively engaged in shaping the culture of our school and making a positive impact in the world around them.

At St. Micheal’s, we believe that extracurricular activities are an essential part of a well-rounded education. That’s why we are committed to providing our students with a diverse range of opportunities to explore their passions, develop their talents, and grow as individuals. With something for everyone, St. Micheal’s Catholic School is the perfect place to discover your passions, pursue your interests, and make lifelong memories.

Come join the fun at St. Micheal’s Catholic School, where every student has the opportunity to thrive and shine.

Our Favorite Activities

Guardian Games

The annual Guardian Games brings energy, teamwork, and school spirit to St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic School. Students from kindergarten through eighth grade spend the day participating in friendly competitions designed to build community and celebrate healthy play.

The morning begins with an opening ceremony on the field, where each grade marches in behind their class flag. Coach Ramirez leads the school in warm‑ups before students rotated through stations including relay races, tug‑of‑war, obstacle courses, and cooperative team challenges.

Older students serve as team leaders, encouraging younger participants and modeling sportsmanship. Laughter echoed across the field as students cheered one another on, celebrated victories, and support classmates who need a boost.

8th Grade Retreat

As part of their preparation for graduation, the eighth‑grade class participates in a meaningful and transformative spiritual retreat at St. Micheal the Archangel Catholic School. Led by Sister Catherine Marie and the parish youth ministry team, the retreat offeres students a chance to pause, reflect, and deepen their relationship with God.

The day begins in the parish hall with prayer and Scripture reflection, followed by small‑group discussions about leadership, faith, and the transition to high school. Students participate in guided journaling, team‑building activities, and a powerful session on recognizing God’s presence in everyday life.

After lunch, the class walks to the chapel for Adoration and quiet reflection, where many students spend time in personal prayer. The retreat concludes a special Mass celebrated by Father Brennan, who encourages the students to carry the light of Christ into the next chapter of their lives.
